Former LPGA Commissioner Charlie Mechem launches Ernest Hummingbird children’s storybook app

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer created the music, country star Darius Rucker narrates

Former LPGA Commissioner Charles S. Mechem Jr. has teamed up with charlie-mechemlegendary guitarist Tommy  Thayer of KISS and country music star Darius Rucker – also golf enthusiasts – to launch the world premiere of Ernest Hummingbird.  The storybook app, which is available on iOS, tells the heartwarming story of a hummingbird who comes from a family of hummers but just wants to sing.

Ernest Hummingbird delivers on this and we are thrilled to introduce him to children everywhere.”

Management Solutions announces two new hires

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Management Solutions announces two new hires in the areas of business operations and information technology (IT) services. Bill Myers has been named to the newly created position of director of operations/chief financial officer and Nathan Sloan has been named senior software specialist.

Management Solutions receives 2013 Pinnacle Woman-Owned Business Excellence Award

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Management Solutions, LLC, received the 2013 Pinnacle Woman-Owned Business Excellence Award during the Knoxville Chamber’s ninth annual Pinnacle Business Awards Gala on May 3, 2013, at the Knoxville Convention Center.  Management Solutions was started by Misty Mayes in 2002 with three employees and a single contract with U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL); today it is a multi-million dollar company that boasts more than 30 employees and dozens of clients and customers throughout the Southeast.
